Gender Equality

Gender equality means equal representation of men and woman. It doesn’t mean that men and women are same but they have equal value and right. Gender equality is seen as a basic human right. All over the world, women are found to be more suppressed. Studies shows that majority of the poor population around the world are women. Around 70% of the populations who live in extreme poverty are all women. Different parts of the world still prohibit women from right to vote. Equal pay for equal work is one of the main areas where gender equality is rarely seen. Discrimination against women and girls (such as gender-based violence, economic discrimination, reproductive health inequities and harmful traditional practices) remains the most pervasive and persistent form of inequality.
Empowering women through better education, opportunities, leadership, justice, better health facilities, right to vote, equal pay for equal work, etc. are some of the most important step towards gender equality.

However it’s not at all easy to become a good teacher. A good teacher doesn’t only teaches and evaluate the students but also encourage them towards success, innovation and knowledge. Study shows that the single most important factor for determining the quality of the education a child receives is the quality of his teacher. Being a good teacher brings success to the future of the students.
Being a good teacher requires great qualities like caring the students and forming strong relationship with them. They are masters of the subject matter and are well prepared and well managed. Communicating frequently with parents and engaging the students to look the matter in different ways also make them good teachers. If a teacher is responsible, caring, daring, and always concerned towards the progress of the students, he can not only become good teacher but a great teacher.
